I can't believe the crashing problem. Crashing to desktop. Connection lost. THe whole server crashing. If DICE/EA sold so many copies they should devote all their resources to solving this problem because many games are crashing with the server crashing as you know. 1.4 has to be finalized NOW. Anytime I play a 1.4 server the games are very imbalanced which sucks. So I try to play the servers where I know there are a lot of good players and there are may crashes. I understand if a lot of the community doesn't go for BF 2142 because of this. You have to deliver if you want the business.

No In My Docs Delete That Bf2 File And Start The Game Bf2 Will Make A New Folder In My Docs And You Should Be Fine . From What I Can Find Here Some Of The Info In This File Gets Messed Up? Hope It Works For You . I Still Get Ctd And Connection Issues But Once Or Twice A Week Now

I tried that but I backed up the BF2 my documents file, It appears that if you do that you lose your ranking. So I just restored the original file and my account appeared. Therefore it appears that you are a jerk like many many others on this site and you will be reported.

I thought he was trying to wipe out my settings because when i did what he said I came to the original EA screen when you load the game moron. I didn't go further and assumed he tried to screw me. And in this beautiful world with all you beautiful people I couldn't imagine someone trying to screw me.

yea IKC ? But so few servers and filled servers . Matt, I think I do have a few interesting posts. My posts here explain the situation. The recent complete unplayability of vanilla BF2. 1.3 has gotten much worse recently for some reason.

Thing is, the pagefile is an unmovable file where defrags are concerned. It never gets any maintenance and from what I can see it just gets more and more garbled, for want of a better phrase. By turning off you virtual memory, restarting the PC, then running a defrag and finally turning the virutal memory back on it creates a fresh page file and things (for me, and mavrick at least) have been fine and dandy since.
Cautionary note, this should only be attempted if your PC is capable of running windows without VM turned on, ie you have sufficient physical RAM to run windows.
