I have Spy Sweeper and it was recently updated. That could be the issue, but I have no way of shutting it down. When I press Ctl-Alt-Delete and try to close it I can only close the owners task not the system. So basically it is still running and maybe like you said slowing it down. So how would I go about shutting this program down when I am denied access.
Today I decided to download the demo for BF2 and I am having the same issue, even a little worse. I use fraps and my FPS were 30-70 consistently but I was still having lag with a ping of 80.
I also have Halo and played that just fine as well.
