My friends and I have recently started playing with the blackhawk on patch 1.03. Man it is so much fun, and I have gotten 40 gold medals in the last 4 days. The people on the wake servers are usually the same and most are terrible. So if anyone who plays on wake in 1.03 come tell me and you can come black hawk with me and my friends
I'd have to say about 20k of my deaths are from blackhawks because of earlier patches, yet I still love the blackhawk and want to go back in patches.
Before they put out the totally FUBAR patch for air vehicles, Blackhawks were extremly fun and a huge benefit to the team. Especially the chain guns with explosive damage
Now they're mostly used if you can't snag a plane or Cobra on the carriers.

i agree...they were definitely worth their while....if you had an engineer or 2, someone as supply, and a medic or two....everyone would make out big time on points...which was great....and it was a dominating force on maps like Mashtuur and others.....they should bring that back.....that would be great.....and im pretty sure there would be VERY FEW complaints.....except from those select few people who have nothing better to do but cry about everything this game offers.

Pilot - Medic
Gunners - support
Passenger (F4 position) - Spec Ops
Rear Passenger seats - Engineer

I agree, (not with the moron part), but that the blackhawk was only fun for the 6 on board. Yes, it took a squad or group working together to make the blackhawk a death machine but the other 58 of us (yes, even when my team was whoring the blackhawk) didn't have much fun at all. Nothing like feeling you had a killer Mashtuur round as USMC....30 kills to 10 deaths, capping a bunch of flags, etc. scoring almost 75 points only to find out that you didn't even medal cuz the 6 guys in the blackhawk all scored over 150 points.K8Kommunist wrote:

I'd have no problem with EA un-nerfing (is that a word) the blackhawk either...as long as I get a shoulder mounted stinger that drops any helo with two shots. That way the blackhawk 'can' be devastating but only if the opposing team doesn't adapt and spawn as AA kits...otherwise it's just a raping.

honestly, i loved being on the other team going against it. it was so easy to shoot down if you know what you are doing. plus me and my clan would always go rape their spawn and steal it from them. the BH crew on the other team never stood a chance.K8Kommunist wrote:

On topic...I'm one of the guys that plays with the OP (he's my brother) on 1.03, and it is seriously a blast. I feel like a sailor who washed up on the shore of some strange island, and the natives took us in as some kind of gods-and I'm not even that good of a player! If anybody wants to play with us, just xfire myself or CosmoKramer for a good time...

I had 1.03 for a few days. Couldn't find anyone who knew what they were doing so I went back to 1.3. All of my lazy-ass friends dont wanna de-patch so I guess I'll never see the Black Hawk of Death again :*(.

The Blackhawk is pretty appauling in comparison to what it is like in real life and to what it used 2 be like on the game! One of thier biggest spoils was messing around with the Blackhawks!
Re-install BF2, copy the game folder in X:/Program Files/EA Games then rename it to something like "Battlefield 2 1.03" and then patch up to 1.3 then launch from either the .exe in the "Battlefield 2 1.03" folder or the normal "Battlefield 2" folder.Janis_Petke wrote:

There are about ten servers on 1.12 the best one is a 64man server.
