Hi, pardon me for this n00bish question, but i just wanted to find out how to get repair and ammo points?

I fixed a bridge, a teammate's tank and no point.

I resupplied ammo to a teamate and still no point.

Any thought?

I've never receieved a repair point for bridge-work.  Other repair points come over time (you have to do a lot of repair to get a point, a few quick twists of a wrench won't do the trick).  I've observed that maybe, just maybe, you'll get 2 pts for a repair on a highly damaged artillary gun - even then, it's generally only a single point.

As for resupply - can't help ya there - really never paid too much attention to it.

The easiest way to get supply or heal points is to play a map like karkand and drop the packages everywhere to your mates (by pressing fire when holding it).
To get repair points is a bit more difficult, because you have to make a full repair of a teammates vehicle or the arti/uav/satelite. I work on my veteran engineer badge for a long time but didnt get it yet :-(

You get no repair points for repairing bridges, and 1 repair point for 1 full bar of health for any vehicle. The points combine so you can repair half of one tank and half of another to get 1 point. Transport vehicles repair faster so you will obviously get more repair points by repairing those.

As far as ammo points go, throw the bag like a grenade and your teammates will refill their ammo faster than if you were holding it. You can only get 2 ammo points from the same player for a set period of time but I'm not sure how long that is. You can only have a max of 5 ammo bags on the ground at a time so when you throw the 6th ammo bag, the first one you threw will dissappear. Spread them out and your teamates will find them and use them. Follow assaault and spec ops guys for the most ammo points.

Hope that helps!

repair points come easily on artillery. trust me thts how i did it. it works i think for every 3/4 full bar you get a point. its hard but well worth it.

Just a little question about a frigging detail that I couldn't find anywhere (Please read the whole statement, and answer when you actually know the answer):

How do I get a re-supply point?
Either you do it the easy way: a discarded supply-pack that has been picked up by a team member in need, regardless the amount of required need.
Or the hard way; you hold the package close to your teammate in dire need.

Here is the actual question:
How long do you need to hold the bag to gain a re-supply point?

Thanks in advance…
Cheers,

Karkland is indeed an easy map to rack up the ammo points.  Toss the ammo bags around the first MEC flag because that's where many players toss grenades , and [sigh] c4 packages, to clear a path.

There are three ways to gain 25 repairs points IAR, unortunately only one of them legit:

1) Join a half-full Sharqi Penninsula server as a USMC and repair the commander equipment that's constantly being c4'ed.

2) On a huge map like Dragon Valley jump into a vehicle & drive it into the water.  Reverse out of the water before it explodes.  Move into a passenger slot and you should automatically repair the vehicle. Repeat as necessary.

3) Become a Spec Ops and C4 your team's equipment, and kill yourself with the blast.  Respawn as an engineer and repair the equipment.  Die or Kill yourself & respawn as Spec Ops. Repeat as necessary.

Youre the type of person i wouldnt want to play with. The only legitimate suggestion you made was the first one. Personally I think they need more rigorous safeguards from people who take part in activities that youve mentioned.

I have no idea. Until the little message comes up, I guess. Definitely longer than it would take your teammate to pick up a resupply bag from the ground though.
