Hmm,usually there are some nice opportunities:Arty Island,North Village,a squad that bailed out of their RIB in the middle of the pacific, even the secret trip to the carrier and taking out pilots with the M95(just ask monkey, last time was really fun!),there's a lot to get on this map if you know where and when.
I've played Wake enough to have a fair idea of the various sniping scenarios that might develop, just didn't get much of a chance last night. Didn't help that I was showing up as red in the first round and got TKed two or three times
Same thing happened to some other guy the next round, poor sod.

The beauty of this island for a sniper is that you can nearly shoot at any flag from another.
Speak for yourself
Graphics + skill issues = no for me. Can't see player models past about 375m and I can't hit targets reliably at that range anyway as I don't play maps with clear air often so I don't get to practice distant shots much.

I often wonder what the guys think I just helped out with a kill assist.I hit a guy near a flag and the guy who assaults mows him down with just a quick spray of lead.
I wish there were an "Assisted" kill message to let people know they got a helping hand from someone who made the guy practically dead before they starting spraying bullets
Might improve the general level of respect for snipers among the average group of players.

Another often overlooked bonus of having snipers in the team on Wake is that they can effectively slow down enemy troop movement.Do you keep running towards the enemy when you've just been hit from out of nowhere and have 2 healthbars left?[/color]
Actually a surprising number of people do (do they not notice???) but it's pretty suicidal of them
