Jesus T0xicboy, is that a type of claymore? *shudder*
You could say it’s an oversized claymore, it’s defined as an vehicle mine not an anti-personal mine

A claymore weight about 1.5 kg(3.5 pounds) and that beast weight 24 kg(52.9 pounds) and 9.5 kg(21 pounds) of that is explosives.
It’s used for fixed defenses, ex put up three of those in a clear-cut forest/clearing with two soldiers and you can be pretty safe that no transport helos will land there unharmed.

Sweden and Japan is using that mine as far as I know.
Almost all countries have some type of oversized claymores, the Russian mon-200 is even larger, 25 kg and 12 kg explosives in it.

But as you can see, it doesn’t look like a Claymore, more like a satellite dish, and the killing zone is more concentrated.

If you want that, go look at some of Nyte's vids search for it on youtube or something.
I have DL Nytes movies… Nice! exactly what I wanted
Nyte you have some skill and you really using your brain in the game.
Too many of the people I meet out there lack the ability to think, they only act and react, totally focus like a bloodhound that has found a trail.
It’s pretty easy to lure and trick people like that into their deathtrap.
I see that you are not one of them... *making a mental note*

All most snipers do at close combat is drop a claymore, try runaway and get shot in the back and then u get blown apart walking away. Thats just low grade tactics with no skill.

1. nice movie (even if it's number ?????) i like it,
2. nice remix of "you spin me round" (who is it ?)
3. YES, close combat and sniping can fit together, if the player isn't absolutely stupid.

First of all,how to define close-combat for a sniper?

For me close-combat sniping is everything under 100 meters.
I try to shoot long range as often as possible, but sometimes there are situations where you just have to resort to close-combat.
Getting one shot off and finishing with the pistol, luring somebody into a freshly placed claymore, the lucky unzoomed point blank shot, there are a lot of little things in it.

But if you want a presentable K/D-ratio with the sniper kit you should try to remain unseen and attack the flanks, and not try to engage the enemy as if you were "Bolt-action-Rambo".

If you are forced to close-combat you better do or die and it's good to have skills in close-combat sniping then - but avoiding it in the first place is more wise, you are seriously underpowered in terms of firepower in real close-combat.

hmmm i like my KDR and i am a closecombat sniper
if i should train anyone in sniping... the first thing i would let em learn was close combat... you need to have some reflexes if you wanna snipe because you will always end up in close combat...

Wice, congrats on having a higher overall accuracy than Nyte, didn't know if anyone had noticed that one.

hehe thx..

My kdr with the sniper rifle is also better... But doesn't matter Nyte is still a better sniper then me.  unfortunately i have only had the pleasure to game with him once with to high ping (for me)... and about my sniper accuracy. I risked it when i started to train as a close combat sniper... and you can see what happened 53% =/... but my KDR and overall Accuracy has improved

Of late, I've been playing both the engineer (pump-action) and sniper (bolt-action) in close combat.  I've been making a lot of unscoped kills wth the bolt-action, utilizing it the same way you would with a pump-action shotgun:  aim fast, shoot and dodge.   A "shotgun" effective at all ranges.

Off topic:  As for the shotguns, screw the DAO, my fave is now the pump-actions.  One shot, one kill...

i prefer the m24 or l96a1, mostly because its easy to hit them in head or body, the pistol to finish them off.  claymores are fun too

hmmm right now my KDR is 2.1322 and i don't think that is so bad and i am a closecombat sniper (just ask Entertainer_06 ) the KDR has nothing to do with the fact that some guys are closecombat snipers and others are long distance snipers... its all about mastering a skill

I hate roofs.  Too easy to get caught by something.  I like being on the ground, not at the very front of the action but just behind the main force.  Thats the best way, picking off those people before they can kill my teammates.

Then there are those situations that they get way to close.  Look, no scoping is not hard at close range you just have to line up the middle of your screen (seriously, everyone can judge that) and boom their dead, usually.

Another thing, snipers have a silenced pistol, very fun to use because people seriously don't hear it.  Really fun to shoot them with it and watch the look the wrong way.
