Well as you guys know the requirements for General are very high, and in my opinion completely insane. Look at all of those hours, you have to be in a vehicle. Since the rank General came I have wanted to become one, but I am not the type that spends loads of time in vehicles. Look in my stats. Do you think it would get changed, and would you ever have a chance of becoming one.
I'll be a General pretty soon

Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it
You need high requirements for a high rank.
Well I do not have any plans about sitting in a plane or tank for several hours.
Well i do not see anything high about sitting in a tank 100 hours. That really does not require any kind of skill.

Colonel is the rank i want, i hate having stars.
I will never get past Colonel
Well if I want to be a Colonel I need about 40.000 points.
then you will never be general. They shouldn't make the ranks easier to get, if they do that, anyone who plays long periods of time would be a general, not necessarily having the skills to obtain that rank, but rather time.
The current General ranks are nothing. They only require the Veteran set of the badges; before 1.3 they required the Expert versions.
I'd love to get to a General rank but probably never will, so I'd be content with Captain. Major isn't very good lookin, Lieutenant Colonel is OK, Colonel... meh.

my dude lister went from first sarge to captain in a matter of two months.. honestly. stats: sergreantlister
It would be cooler if the requirements would be that, you need to have a SPM of X and a K/D ratio of X and X Golden Stars and so on. Say that requires skills.

then why do you only have 1,500 commander points? and how would you know with that little of CO points? You dont. Sit down.
Look here I am a Captain. I have played this game so long that I almost know everything.
except what it takes to be a commander.
rank doesnt mean shit btw, I've seen a 4 star general get 13th place in a round...

Well the commander kit is not that difficult you know. You get points for how good your team is, not for how good you are.
A commander can change the whole outcome of a game. Especially if he is actually commanding his troops and they are listening. A commander can see what is going where, thus making him a very valuable defensive solider. A commander saving one flag from being capped (say suburb in karkand, or factory in karkand) can change the whole outcome of a game. Critical arty strikes on points where lots of guys are can save your team the lives and hassel of fighting those guys, thus giving you momentum to move forward with your assault on whichever base. Try being a commander on a shitty team. Tell me thats easy.
Completly untrue.I don't care what rank you are.stef10 wrote:

Thats not easy. Then we are back to what I said. The commander gets points for how good the team is, not how good you are. I got the veteran command badge and that was too easy.
Someone show him the original requirements for general. Or how about the requirements for kits when the game came out. 1,000 hours in each kit.
If you cant play the game 1440 hours, you dont deserve to be general!
There is a reason why they got changed.
Oh really? I thought they just changed it for no damn reason. You have been promoted! rank: captain obvious.
Then the original requirements are irrelevant. Then why did he talk about it.
