I keep getting kicked out of every server. It says "Your connection to the server has been lost", upon connecting to any server. My connection speed is fine, as it has always been, and I have updated Punkbuster twice to be sure it wasn't that. Someone please help!

Or you had some problems with packet loss (do you play wireless?)
Or everyone in the neighbourhood is using internet and the hub can't handle it. Try to play in the morning (if possible) or noon and see if you still have that problem. Sometimes there is just too much traffic in the evening.

I get the "Your connection to the server has been lost" all the time. But when it happens to me the server crashed.

If this is a new problem for you (that is, if you were playing BF2 fine, but now are having problems), then here are some possible causes:

(1)  De_Jappe is correct ... the most likely cause of this is that your connection is either degraded or erratic.  Sometimes ISPs have temporary connection problems with one or more of the servers that are needed to play an on-line game - that is, to connect with a BF2 on-line game you will need to properly connect with Punkbuster, GameSpy, and the actual server.
(2)  There is an assumption by some that a recent PunkBuster update is causing problems with some machines.
(3)  One other possible cause is that your anti-virus software has updated and is blocking something vital to BF2.  Try turning off your AV software and see if the problem continues (there was someone over the past week that had a similar problem, and it turned out that his AV software updated with a version that was incompatible with BF2).
(4)  Though rare, sometimes adware/spyware has caused problems with connections.

No, I have a hardline connection.

I'm pretty sure the server is not crashing, otherwise every single server would just happen to be crashing when I connect to it. That would have to be one serious coincidence.

There have been service problems here at my house in the past week or two with random disconnects, so that  might have something to do with it. Yes, BF2 was working properly before this happened and I don't think it's spy/ad-aware, I scan daily; my computer usually stays pretty clean with few problems. If one arises, I take care of it immediately and it is almost always fixed without a problem. I will try closing out my AV software to see if that helps, if not, I will be back for more help. Thanks.
