OK,Before it starts,YES,I used search First!!!!(the last two frustrating hours!!!)

OK,First,The mouse look.

I am an old vet at flight Sims and used to being able to look around(SA is critical!) I have in-game Helo and A/C X,Y and throttle set-up on my joystick and throttle.

I have removed the mouse axises from the primary and replaced them with my Joystick axises,Yet when I try to use "mouse look" (LCTL) ,my @#$% joystick controls freeze!!!

Anyone know of a work-around?

Second,Commanders "spotted reports"

I am SICK and TIRED of the constant "Spotted" reports!!!!!! MY GOD,some commanders must spend the whole game doing nothing but "clicking" on them!

Is there a way to "kill" the audio reports? the visual HUD reports disabled would be a blessing too!

No, the commander spots, not the damned sattelite scan.

AS far as I know, ther eis nothing you can do about the commander spotting messages, or infact any of the radio chat messages in BF2 (withough punkbuster getting upset and owning you anyway)

As for the other thing with mouse look, I am too interested in this. For me I have the logitec extreme 3d joystick, and it has a POV hat on teh top of the stick which would be exellent if I could free-look with this thing. Unfortunatly the control set up in BF2 is very poor (basic and bugged) and Ive failed to be able to set it u to work on anything other then the mouse for free look, which obviously inst practical if your already using a stick.

First: No there isn't a way, but personally I like a commander spotting for me, saved my 'life' often and as helo or fighter pilot I like it when a target is marked for me.

I once tried to change the audio files but PB will kick you for that.

When I play commander I try to spot only tanks, helos and enemies which try to cap a flag. But each player can spot enemies, often it isn't the commander.

OverzealousCommander: Enemy infantry spotted!

I hate those guys who wear you out with the spotting.

"Get this guys: There are 32 players on that other team and they're shooting at us! Holy crap!"

Thanks for the warning...

I agree... although it is annoying.... but I'd still rather be annoyed by hearing sounds then by being annoyed from dying by a guy my commander could have warned me about.

yea , they are not bad

but I COULD call him a noob and be entitled to if I wanted but it just winds people up for no reason, the less people that go round calling each other noob, the less like CS, bf2 would be.

peace
