Although many people will expect a: JOIN SQUADS rant, nope, you're wrong.
Stop making too many one man's squads! Please! Me and my clanmate were playing on a server, of course we always make a squad, so one of us is being squadleader. Now this one time, at the battlefield, the game started and 9 people made a one mans squad so we were out of squads! Neither me or my clanmate could make a new squad. We asked politely for someone to give up his one man's squad so we, as a little clan, could have one. But nope, nobody reacted. We posted in caps locks, still asking kindly but no-one reacted, now we had to join this crappy squadleader. He was really playing dumb so we joined another squad and guess what, 8 out of 9 squadleaders were waiting for planes...
So the lesson here: don't be squadleader if you are not up for teamwork and let the people who want their squad have one.

Mmm, the only reason I can think off why people do that, cuz I did it myself, when I needed 100 hours for a medal or somethin as squad member, squad leader and commander.
Though haven't came across it, that I couldn't make a squad, I can figure out that it sucks, since I allways play in a squad with my clanmates as well since they know what to do.

I'm hearing ya!!! but im also suspecting that the majority of the culprits will be noobs trying to up their time.. and they probably won't even read this thread... or any forum, because they know EVERYTHING already......

Yep, this is probably the reason in this case.

I agree ppl shouldn't join squads if they're not interested in teamwork though.

And you also get the possibility to ask the commander for support.
When this happens to me and my mates, we just join a squad and play along with the SL.
It doesn't matter all that much to me, as long as he isnt sniping from far.

Funny that,
I just finished playing on the FLQ server(something from Quebec) and I was in a squad of 1 and looked and there were no other squads, ALL LONEWOLFS! and most of them were from that clan. Then I am asking away for the commander to drop some ammo or give a UAV scan over and over and getting no response.
So, I look at the Squad screen and lo and behold we have no Commander What the fuc!!. SO i apply and am accepted and 15 seconds later one of the Clan guys tries to cause a mutiny when I just frigging started.
Now these guys and there were 15 of them were refusing to get into squads, refusing to go where I directed and none of them bothered to grab the tank or our chopper before it was always blown up.
I still finished with a 78 for the round with no bonus but my god people,what the fuc are you playing for in a team game if all you want to do is run around in an endless clusterfuck and die over and over because the other side is actually playing as a team.
I think from now on I may just move along to another server if I encounter this again as it isnt worth the stress.
Sorry for the long rant but it just blew me away people enjoyed playing like that.

I think some of these clan use teamspeak and act as squads but don't use the squad options, also I normally form a single man squad to stop from being auto switched during the game,which can be bloody annoying, but I'm begining to relise that in a large squad, I get more point, stay alive longer, and enjoy batt 2 more, and many times when I've been on a server with loads of lone wolfs, the enemy have owned the map as they are using more squad play, and there's to many time a server hasn't got no commander, I was playing a server earlier without a commander so I applied and got, why is this?.

I'm on the look out for some good servers which squads are used more than lone wolfs?.

I always make the one man squad and lock. Unless I'm playing with friends. I hate big squads; only if I'm squad leader. I hate it when you die and your squad mates are crying and spazing because they have one second left, till they respawn.
