as you know about the horrible verify times on bf2 for some of this stated in one of the stickies... does sf have the verifying thing as well, if it does (which i prob think it does), are the verify times still a problem as they are in bf2? anyone, this is what keeps me apart from buying the game, and not.

Now, as to your question.

When the 1.03 patch came out it jumped my verifying client data load time through the roof, to remedy this I defragmented the hard drive that had bf2 on it, and things definitely sped up. So far in playing bf2:sf the verify time is again very very long. I plan to defrag my bf2 drive once again this evening to hopefully get things back to speed.

hmm... maybe i should just do " something not illegal" " not" , to try it out, if it gets me going i will just have to buy it.

I don't have a problem with it, it's about the same amount of time as in regular BF2 for me, but then again I never had a problem with Client Data before the expansion.

I used to have the same problem too... I'd wait days before a map would load. I upgraded the RAM in my system, (which was used for other purposes other than BF2 (Yeah, right...), and things loaded much, much quicker. The new expansion is more RAM hungry, in both the video board, and with onboard RAM.

Just my 2.5 cents... (more like a dollar.)

I've got 2 gigs... still takes f'ing forever(OK, it's like 90-120 seconds). My machine is no slouch, and in good working condition. Drives me insane!
