Sounds noobish, but yes, how do I spectate the game instead of joining a team?
I thought it was by pressing the C button, so you can cycle through the members (when you are dead).
and supposing that you didn't rearranged your keys, the same key to cycle camera's in a vehicle)

Click the x on teh top right corner of the map. And mectallica, please don't wear the BF2s tag and call people hackers.
It's a setting that has to be enabled on the server apparently; when you're waiting to respawn the camera key doesn't work on some servers and does on others.
You have to be on a team in order to 'spectate' so I wouldn't make a habit of doing it for long periods in a single game, particularly if the teams aren't large.
