Battle Recorder Help

I know there are other topics that have something to do with it, but I've been looking around for a while now and I can't make it work.

So I know how to use Battle Recorder on a ranked server not as the admin. Is this even possible? I know I have been on Battel Recorder enabled servers, but it doesn't allow clients to record anything. Is the only possible way to record ranked Battle Recorder video to be an admin on a server? Are every single person with a movie using BR not FRAPS admin on the server they used?

I just don't understand how this works in multiplayer, thanks for your response.

Hopefully this is what you are after...

After loading BF2, go to the Community tab. You should see the rounds that you have played that have been recorded via Battle Recorder on the left. You click the one you want to watch, and tell it to download. You have to watch it within BF2. From what I know, there is no other software that will play the Battle Recorder files. Also, you will have to use Snagit, etc. if you want to capture clips of the action in Battle Recorder, as I don't think there is any way to export clips from the playback.

Forgot to mention, I go there and there are at least 50 different matches, but every one of them it fails to download. Why?

I think it was happening before 1.3...but your saying you should be able to download an entire there from a battle recorder enabled server without doing anything else?

does it say "Server Refused to Send File"?

If it does its becuase the Server Provider I.E. internode dont want you to download the file only a "Paying" customer of theres can download the file.

That's what some of them say, but most say you couldn't connect to the server...

Wierd, check the ports that battlerecorer uses to download the recored files and open it in your router and firewall windows may be stoping you from connecting to the server.

www.portforward.com might tell you what ports otherwise try a google search

I just checked, the specific message is failed to find file on the server. Perhaps the serve dumps the files after a certain amount of time?

yeah i would think it would if it is writing one file after every round how long ago was the file you want recored?

also what is teh Name of the server the file is on, you may be able to ftp across the file, let me know
