The Server Browser list does not let me search on named servers, this has only happened after SF install and Patch, any ideas???

i.e. if i search on EA UK to filter my servers i get nothing.

I can then no longer refresh the browse list so i have an empty list and no servers of ANY kind to join.

Please assist

i have hadthat prob for ages, plus if i click refresh server list nothing comes up and i have to restart the game to get servers again....pain in the ring i tell ya.

Limit the number of filters you have checked, typically for me less than 5 seems to work. This will also fix the bug where you lose all servers, so if the server list goes blank just uncheck a few filters and apply. Viola!

Yes it is! Still dumb that you should have to use this sort of workaround in their browser, but at least it is semi-functional again!

well i took your earlier advise in another thread and downlaoded bf autoloader but i had troubles using it, i think its has to do with zone alarm but iv tried everything i can.

atleast it disabed the start up movies for me.

There are two work-arounds. One you need 6 or less filters checked, and the other is a pain in the ass and now worth the trouble, IMO.

For use of up to 10 filters:

Start the game normally, logging in with your online account.
Go to Multiplayer.
Set your filters (up to 10).
Click Apply Filters.
Quit the game.
Start the game and log in with your online account.
Click Multiplayer.
The list of servers pulled up when you click Multiplayer will use the filters you chose. You will not be able to refresh or update this list without quitting the game and restarting it. Due to the nature of this workaround, it is recommended that you find a way to limit your filters to six or less.

I hope this applies to your situation. The only other thing I can think of is the tab for type of maps, which is rather obscure. Change it to "ALL" instead of "CONQUEST" or whatever.
