well what changes have u made to ur system? new programs/security software/hardware(routers included)?

well u updated ur ram did u adjust your virtual memory settings? use google search to find out how.
try some of the tweaks in the link i posted.

Correct me if i`m wrong but cant he just double the amount of virtual thats default ?

Umm what does it help if I run it in windows mode? And I get no error message, I just play normally and then in the twinkling of an eye I'm at desktop and my computer is veery silent, nothing what could mean stress or heating of my computer and it's as silent as my computer is in idle. Usually as I quit playing bf2 my computer makes some little noises and then gets quiet but when this happens I can't even hear those little sounds!

I hope ya undertand my english, 'cause I'm from finland. (Who knows where Finland is?)

Every now & then I still crash to desktop.

Finland is the good neighbor of norway,sweden{hot chicks}, and of course our freinds the russians.

Good neighbors heh right...

We still have grudge against russian because we had war on them and they took piece of our country. As you can see, from looking how big russian is you can imagine how fair that war was. And they come to finland into one waterpark what is near the border line and some of them don't use swimsuit they use just their underwear! And that's one more reason for us to hate Russia.

Sweden. We kinda hate them. (Not very much, but like big brother teases little brother and we are the little brother because first finland was just part of sweden.) Reasons: 1. Sweden always beats finland in ice hockey in final match. 2. They have better country and they are better people. 3. We have to study their language in school and that's pain in the ass, and what makes it more unpleasent is that u know u will almost never in your life need to speak swedish!

Estonia. When you go to there if you don't keep good care of your wallet or you will be robbed in minutes. Happens usually like this: Two womans come to you. They try to sell you Abidas (Yes Abidas not Adidas) shirt and even if you say many times you don't want it they will follow you. The trick is here that the other one is distracting you and the other is putting her hand to your pocket where your wallet is.

We don't have anything against Norway I think... Looks that we hate our neighbors in a way or another...

I know this is going to interest no1, but I like the idea where Finland would be famous country someday... (Conan O'Brien has bored you with his Finland jokes right?)

I got XP home edition.

(Motherbard supports up to 4 Gb ram) Like I first got 512 mb, then I bought two 1 Gb sticks and added them to my computer, but my computer only recognised 2 sticks, contingent upon where I placed those stick but it _never_ recognised more than 2 Gb. (It should have recognised 2 Gb + 512 mb but it couldn't recognise more than 2 gb.) I thought that it may be about the virtual memory max. amount of virtual memory thing...

I have the same problem and I've recently upped my 512mb to 1.5gb. However, I've already maxxed out my virtual memory, I've increased it to the maximum a long long LONG time ago. But still, the crashing doesn't really annoy me that much as it doesn't happen that often. It usually happens during after Verification Client and the game is just starting.

Also I have to wait in a loading time twilight zone, where I cannot spawn or anything, objects and soldiers don't appear yet, just console messages flying by and chat logs. Then slowly one by one things appear, like objects in the menu and then finally the soldiers. THEN I can select a spawn point,kit and play ^_^

Anyone have this too?

There's a few things I'd check other than just virtual memory.  Is the ram that you bought the same brand/type/clock speed etc as the ram you had in your computer to start out with?  Also, did you make sure that the auto detect setting for the clock speed actually detected correctly?  There's always a chance it didn't set it correctly and you'd need to change the setting in the BIOS. 

If you know the clock speed you can download a program like cpuz to see what all of your ram sticks are running at. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php is where you can download it.

When I bought the game I crashed to desktop about 4/5 times, and used this fix : http://forums.ea.com/mboards/thread.jspa?sls=2&tstart=0&threadID=91245 it fixed my problems, and it's always worth a try if it's making yours act up.  If it still does it after using that one I'd go ahead and change it back just in case.

Also, the part they're saying to change is these boxes : http://i6.tinypic.com/23kexdu.jpg  You said you found it already but there are the actual numbers/spaces for them.
