the 30K from 1st Sgt to Sgt Maj is a pain in the ass. but that same 30K between Col and Gen doesn't seem so bad. lmao

yes, dice messed up with that patch adding all those new higher ranks with relatively small point gaps, and leaving old first sgt to sgt major such a huge gap. it turns off playing for a lot of people, and i know that the motivation to get a new rank (im almost there, im almost there, ill play like crazy!) keeps me playing. if you want give me your password and ill get you to sgt major, im really bored!
I've been in the 30,000s for about 2 months i think. My friend went through 50,000 in a month and a half

My guess as to why they make it so long a run for that leg is that you get the last unlocks at Master Gunny/Sergeant Major. What they forgot to take into account is that almost everyone gets the last weapons they care about at Master Sergeant/First Sergeant. Chances are we'll never use those last 2-3 guns anyway and so people feel like they've done all that they wanted to do and quit.
