BF2 loads on the SF disc so I was thinking about taking the original back to the store for trade-in. Any reason not to do this?

Plus, you are still using the cd-key... if someone else were to use that same key you would run into problems with online play.

Personally, i wouldn't. you would loose more than you would gain
