Ok, so i searched but couldn't find a fix so here's my problem.
For some reason, every time i patch my BF2 after a reinstall i have to use the 1.12 patch in full, then patch incrementally up to 1.3.  I don't know why, maybe something to do with my system specs. Anyhow, this has never been a real problem till now.  This time when i run the full 1.12 patch it just drops out and says "patch failed".  If anyone has any ideas I'd be truly grateful.  Btw system specs are:
AMD 3800+ x2 cpu
Leadtek 7800gt
asus a8n sli mobo
windows xp home edition sp2

Try downloading the patch again.

Firstly, go and read this.

It says you need 3 gigs of free space on your hard drive to patch 1.3 full, and if that doesn't work download it from somewhere else.

Does it give you any other errors besides "Patch Failed."

What happens exactly? Where does it fail, what happens before and after, etc etc.

If the 1.12 has failed, have you tried the 1.3 patch in full or were you patching 1.12 then incrementing up because the 1.3 patch failed?

Why are you reinstalling each time?  Are you having to install the game each time you boot or what?  I'm a noob, so bear with me.  I have the EA downloader, and the 1.12 problem only comes up when I try to dowload the older patches.  For the latest (1.3), there wasn't a problem.

I'm not questioning your intelligence, just trying to understand the problem so I can understand what I might have.  Thanks.

are you saying a full 1.3 patch isn't working? 
Or hold on for a bit as there is a lot of chatter 1.4 is out today.

This may sound stupid but how do u know what version is the 1.3 version (what does the number in the right top corner hev to be?)I got the bf2 deluxe edition(with sf) and i cant patch it whaterver i do if i try it says modified content when i play wake and mash city
