Bullet proof?

I played last night and came across a couple a soldier that seemed to to be affected by shotgun fire or bullet fire from a tank. It took a shell from the tank to kill them. When they died thier bodies would hang in air.

It's a serverside glitch. It's not common, but it does happen. The first time I ever played AF, bullets did no damage whatsoever. The only way you could kill people was with explosives. After a few rounds, people just stopped shooting alltogether. Tanks only fired their main guns, people only threw grenades, used C4, and fired SRAWs, and jets would just drop bombs and reload.

I believe it can be fixed by restarting the server.

maybe its a glitch

I know that one time I aimed a tank shell at one guy dead center on his chest and somehow I missed. I'm figuring its latency though

Yeah, i also noticed my ammo never went down and in the case of playing spec ops .. i could keep laying c4, but could not switch to detonator

Damn, how sweet would it be to lay 50 packs of C4 on a light vehicle and watch it go flying from all of the C4?

Weird. I don't remember that happening when I came across it. A few times I've been playing and when I threw grenades, they just sank into the ground, didn't explode, and the number I was holding never went down, so I'm assuming it's due to the same glitch.

But yeah, that's all it is...a serverside glitch. No hacks or cheats, just an uncommon bug.

If not, maybe he was on his Desktop. Then it can take a while to kill him.
It´s a well known Problem in Onlinegames.

It´s a well known Problem in Onlinegames.

No his corpses head was fixed the rest of the body would twitch ragdolling around. There was no framerate issues.

This glitch has lots of things related to it such as when you go prone you automatically stand back up again and as mentioned before, sinking nades and also when u run out of sprint it doesn't bother reloading just another one of Dice/EA's glitches again... *sighs*

Guys, Hacks cannot give you superman powers because health and weapon damage are calculated server side. When you see someone run down the street and take no damage he isn't hacking you just suck.

ah. what server was this?

I was on a gamespace wake server and could NOT kill anyone. I was aimlessly shoot my noob tube at the ground whilst waiting for my jet (MY jet!) and it would reload instantly. and another man came up and waited for the jet. So I tryed to noob tub him and it didn't do ANYTHING. It was like a harmless machina-GL.

I beleive its a server glitch because I wouldn't even die.

It's not a hack.

I made the mistake of downloading the 1.4Beta patch, which rewarded me with 3 European servers that were high on the pings, and some new US servers that do exactly what I've read here: bullets are useless, only armor or vehicle mounted guns do any damage.

I will now revert to patch 1.3 and cease being EA's guinea pig, although the way most of their patches have gone, we've been unofficial guinea pigs since the very beginning. My conclusion is that BF2 is one big beta version toward the development of 2142...

I had that problem, was it just with one guy? I stood behind him and shot him in the head 3 times with the M24, its not a hack, just a small glitch, probably to do with the server or they're lagging really bad. In the end I knifed him cos he couldn't move. I think its jus a glitch if they're uber lagging from latency or something. People using hacks are very rare, and people will never believe you, so just wipe those thoughts from you're mind when you have them
