I was thinking about upgrading to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814150157

from this: http://www.xfxforce.com/web/product/lis … ionId=1075

and was just thinking, "Man, this card is a babe."

Thoughts?  Do you think it would be a good upgrade for me?

I've got the 7800GT, XFX is great IMO, people bitch about the loud fan.. but all my fans are extremely loud so it doesn't bug me. Its a good card especially for the price.

and if it's that big of a deal, get an aftermarket fan and keep it even more chilly.  That being said, I have the XFX 7800GT as well and it is awesome.  I haven't had any issues with the noise anyway.

Lol thanks for the help both of you but I kinda was talking about the 6800XT...

If eVGA won't refund my 7900GT KO and I'm stuck with a new replacement I'll sell it to you for a real decent price.

Can you run PCI?

no difference, you'll get extra memory at a 128 bit bus, meh.
this is the one you want, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814150157
256 megs@256 bit bus

If you're talking about PCI-E, then no.  I have an AGP mobo.

I don't think it's worth it to go from a 6800 128mb to a 6800 256mb. It'll improve performance but you might as well go for a 7800 since 6800 will become useless with newer games soon and you'll wish you went bigger.
