Anybody know of a tag or a bind I can put in the shortcut when I open up BF2 or BF2 SF so the intro movies won't play everytime....seems like they take forever sometimes.

Go into your BF2 files and just delete them, thats what I did. Works fine.

the movies? i dont bother taking the time to delete, yes im that lazy, i just hit ESC every time i start up the game and skip through them both
Yeah but you have to wait to hit escape until the big 'movie' movie starts
no no no, right click on the shortcut u use, and add to the end of the taget box.. "+restart"
so it should look like this..
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF21.exe" +menu 1 +restart

sorry i forgot to say, right click and go properties, then add that to the target box..

I renamed the files with the word cut before so i can get them if I want, thought that wasn't too bad an idea if I say so myself...

thanks for the karma vibes.... haha, i felt them!! chances are you will have to reinstall bf one day... we have all had to. when that day comes you now know a better way to remove videos... also it works with a lot of other games.

Open your Explorer to EAGAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\movies
Rename Dice.bik (I named mine Dice.bikBACKUP)
Rename EA.bik
Rename Intro.bik
Rename Legal.bik
Rename Welcome.bik
Now, if you hate the gray movies in the background of the server menu (they use a good bit of ram):
Rename menu.bik (I named mine menu.bikBACKUP)
Rename menuloggedin.bik
If you want a splashy looking BF2 logo behind your browser unzip the attached and install in the same folder. They are only 100kb each.

I dumped the movies and changed the BFHQ background long time ago. I was at a friends recently and he fired up the game. I hadn't told him about the changes, and I was like WTF! I hadn't seen those crappy movies and awful background in forever, and I forgot how annoying they were.

deleting the movies might give you punkbuster problems, and renaming is a lot of work, the command is just +restart lol, but as you renamed them, problem solved.
just rename the bloody things!!! no work involved at all!! what u all talkin bout?? just put 2 extra letters in the extension
