it says IAR: 7 kills with a knife. im assuming it means in a run. do i have to have exactly 7 kills or can i have 8+?
IAR = In A Round.
You can have as many as you want, as long as you hit seven.

IAR means in a round. Just one round. Not one life, but one round. It doesn't matter how many kills over 7 you get, you just need at least 7 to get the badge. Once you get 7 you'll get the badge.

go sharqi map 64 play ...go as usmc and go around artillary of mec ..watch em spawn they mostly use up all theuir stamina shift key run ... sneak up behind em knive em ... make sure you keep moving dont stand still

Man this was a bastard to get
i got it on strike at karkand. i spawned as us and ran crawled all the way to hotel stabbing at peoples feet. got basic and the next one in the same round
