Unlocks in SF used??

so when you unlock a 2 tier weapon it only is useable in normal BF2 right?

everyone says these weapons are much better than the normal unlocks. (g36c, PKM etc.)
I experienced myself I got hold of a SCAR-L and it owns

So is it even necessary to use the normal unlocks in SF.
Why would you even use the G36c when you can use a SCAR-L when you are SAS?
Or are these normal unlocks just used by factions that use the normal MEC weaponry (rebels and such)

i don't have SF yet dont want to ride through the snow

I guess its preference.
Personally I prefer the G36C over the SCAR-L.

You can't use the SCAR-L as SAS. The new unlocks unlock the weapon for the original game, not the expansion. The SCAR-L is part of the USN SEAL kit, along with the SCAR-H. The G-36K, G-36E, and the new support gun are part of the SAS kits.

In other words, the new guns are standard equipment for SAS and SEAL teams in the expansion, and unlocking them lets you use them in the original game.

Where this sucks is if you play IF, Rebel, MEC SpecFor or Russian teams, you're stuck with the original guns from the game, and no new weapons except the RPG-7 for anti-tank troops when playing Rebels, etc.

Theese weapons you can extra unlock for bf2 are SF-standard for some armies. so you will unlock i.e. the f2000 you can use it in bf2 normal at all armies, in sf only as SAS as their standard assault weapon. You can only choose your normal unlocks (g3, g36...) at all armies at sf...

Yes they are, and you can use them for any faction. And in relation to the RPG-7, its a pretty nifty piece of kit, and I dont know of its stats yet but it feels much more powerful then other rocket launchers. Only downside is its unguided.
