yea thats what i do, i shoot for the sake of it, even if theres nothing around. i like making faces on walls, or drawing stuff. kdr>accuracy.name1ess wrote:
imo, the accuracy in the stats mean shit all... when i am running around or bored, il just shoot at whatever, my friends feet etc., same as if i am a vodnic or humvee or whatever, il just fire randomly for the sake of it. and yes, gotta blow up the barrels

Why you ask? Simply for the challenge of it! How easy do you think it is to be accurate as much as you can with all of your shots?Madhadda1 wrote:

Geez, I must be one of those few people that likes to hit who they're shooting at, and/or use their ammo against actual targets.
Not that accuracy is everything, but actually being able to put rounds on target counts for a lot. Usually, the only time I'm not trying to hit a target is with the support kit at a distance, and I'm trying to put down suppressive fire for squadmates. I mean, why not? Large magazines with unlimited ammo? Make them keep their heads down, so they can eventually be flanked and pinned.
So, yes, accuracy isn't everything, but in order to get a decent KDR with any small arm, you're gonna have to hit the target eventually.
The big problem with accuracy values in this game, is that explosives and defibrilators count in the total. Heck, I sometimes wonder why knives or hand grenades are even counted!

Fine. You asked for it:
31.98 % with Assault Rifle
35.48 % with Carbine
60.27 % with Sniper Rifle
24.36 % with Shotgun
28.66 % with Submachine Gun
22.32 % with Light Machine Gun (I don't play Support much so I haven't mastered this gun)
Now hmm?

If you are laying down cover fire for your squad.. that is, you are shooting into places that the enemy want's to go, like bushes, the edges of walls.. Your accuracy will deservedly be low, around 16-20%
I think the accuracy stat is rather unimportant, and yes, mine sucks... but if you think about it, you should be shooting, throwing nades, launching rockets... and not every hit should be a kill. I know BF2 is not the RL, but it mimics some aspects very well.. Suppressive fire, interlocking fire, cover fire, these are all important and they all require bullets. Just throwing nades in choice spots can help root enemies out the other route into an ambush, shooting the ground next to the corner of a wall tells the enemy not to show their faces while you cap the flag, going ahead and firing those stingers when it's almost out of range.
If accuracy meant anything in BF2, they would take out the support kit and the supply crate

Suppressive fire doesn't work in BF2, maybe if the pub you are playing in have players acting all serious. But for players like me, I'll just hop out of there.

accuracy is bullshit and it can be easily upped with some tricks, party is over.
Global or sniper-rifle accuracy?Tripp wrote:

Sniper-rifle accuracy: 40-50% is good, above 50% is very good, above 60% is exceptional. Obviously to mean anything the stats for the rifle should have something else to recommend them.
*cough*accuracy padder*cough* You just wanted to be on the top of the accuracy leaderboarddefaultPlayerBF2MCSF wrote:

Anyone, good shot or not, could create an account with an accuracy of close to 100% with the right knowledge, some care and a little luck. In fact such an account could actually have no kills for any weapon, while still having the requisite score to be listed here. The only reason I haven't done so already is I'm not quite that sad (although I do have two test accounts with sniper-rifle accuracies, legitimate ones, above 60%).defaultPlayerBF2MCSF wrote:

Hehe, so do I! That's how I got the driver of a pickup truck the other day as he drove past, best fluke shot everxX[Elangbam]Xx wrote:
