Hi,

i have a little problem, i wanted to retrieve my account, so i filled in my nick and password, but i got the response wrong password. So i used forgot password. The weird thing is, the email i got says that the password i entered when trying to retrieve my account was right. So in fact i cant retrieve my account with the password that gamespy sends to me when i use forgot password in battlefield 2. The problem is getting quite irritating now, as my clan would expect me to be able to play with them, but i dont want to lose my stats that i have obtained since the moment i played the game, since its been released. Does anyone know a solution/or something that might help?
Thanks in advance, Mile5

I suggest trying to find some help over at the Support section of EA's website. Perhaps they would be able to change your password to something random and email it to the email address you supplied when registering.

If you logged into Fileplanet, and have more then one account, it prompts you to delete your extra accounts. If you deleted the account that was tied to your BF2 account, then it (your bf2 account) is gone! This is because fileplanet is linked to gamespy is linked to bf2. They offer no retrieval for this kind of deletion, as my friend has been through this, and I was prompted to delete my extra account as well but I chose the non-bf2 account. If this is you, you are shit out of luck. When you try to retrieve your account, it gives you that error. Fun fun fun!

Have a nice day c/o EA.

Thanks for your suggestions/idea's.
I did have two battlefield profile's at gamespy, wich of one i have deleted, but this is not the one i would like to play on. I also still can acces my stats at gameslave. They are able to update your stats, so i think my account still exists. But i am still unable to get into my account.
