I love sharqi, Its the new karkand for me. I love it to death as my favorite kit is sniper its awsome, When i got this game i had a death ratio higher then my kill ratio, i had no chance of getting it back up i had such a bad KDr but when i started to play sharqi i got the best rounds bieng sniper like 45 kills to 3 deaths and that, now i have caught up nearly. I recommend if you have a kdr that youn wan't to fix play sharqi as sniper. it helped me,

Nothing like rolling through the town, seeing bodies flying in the air from a direct hit! Sniping also is great on this map, as well as chopper play. Kudos to whoever made the map!

agreed, and don't have to worry about chopper rage, just stay away from TV Station... possibilities are endless.

Enginners with shotguns do great on Sharqi. But then pretty much every kit can do well there. Just get in a squad with a few medics.

well, songhua is a stalemate after all. and nebulaphysics has 315 pts? why would you even worry about your k/d that early? get some time under your belt. explore the game. for me, that first time i played kubra dam i was like "holy crap this is HUGE".

great map. got alot of my badges there and thats the map i am gonna try and get my gold sniper badge on.
got the time just need 35 kills as sniper, (without using Armour)
i would say its very balanced also i have played alot of games on there where the match has been usmc having just the tv tower and as the mec finally take it you look at your map and realize that usmc have taken back all of the other bases.

Songhua is a great map, too bad not many servers play it anymore.

Sharqi is amazing, sniping is fun. Although the helos can be very annoying but life happens and they can be easily neutralized if the server doesn't have dumb rules, like do not enter upcaps. I love when snipers get on the crane, easy pickings even though you are usually looking into the sun when trying to snipe them. There are a few angels that work very well.

agreed, Songhua is a well balanced, and fun to snipe in, it's hard to see you sometimes : P

Great map but I hate the constant chopper rape, and no I don't stay at TV station. Like all maps though, if the other choper spars with the other choper then it's an awesome map, same deal with wake.

For the most part you are right but there have been times *round after round* where I have seen USMC really mess MEC up bad. All it takes is for one guy to make sure the heli never gets off (I don’t think I need to say how seeing as how it drives me bat shit) and for the rest to hold all the choke points, and a really good heli pilot/gunner to make sure anyone that slips by gets what’s coming to em. Most of the time I don’t see that happen though, except on the insomnia severs (I haven’t played on sharqi in awhile though)

I used to like this map untill they up-ed the range on the AA, now 2 guys sitting on the hotel AA, and the Sur. post site AA can get a CLEAN LOCK on the chopper from the TV which is just driving me mad. Even better is when you get 3-4 vodnicks just camping the TV. Oh and the MEC chopper camping the TV as well. oh well.

Couldn't`t agree more. (OK Karkand is my most played map, but Sharqi is my favorite)

All the Flags are within running distance, meaning your always in the thick of it.

I played with this bloke today... Good chopper pilot (was it you hovering outside of TV station?). Sharqi is a mite unbalanced but a US team that knows what it is doing can defend the map without having one flag capped. Still I like Sharqi though. Much more fun than Karkand.

The secret when playing as the US on Sharqi though is... Steal MEC stuff. I mean everything, Vodniks, 101s, RPKs, tanks, APCs, the Mi.... All of it. Loot and pillage like a true pirate!
