As you've gussed from the title, i want to know if the Nvidia 6800 will display BF2 on high graphics. And whats the best card in the £100 - £150 area.
the Nvidia 6800 should be able to display everything on high, but i would still advice you strongly to go for a Nvidia 7800 (im not sure how much that costs over in England though)
if you really want a 6800, than make it a 6800Ultra or GT

yes the 6800 will support what u want it to do. I run a 6600 gt pci card and it runs great not turn all the way up. I got mine set a little more then half way up and my graphic are great and runs smooth. I found the higher you have it turn up longer it take to load up into the game.
i see... so looks like an nvidia 6800 ultra. thanks guys!!
Legend888, you should also consider the rest of your PC..........a kick-ass graphics card wont do no good in a crappy PC.......
My buddy runs a PCI-E vanilla 6800 256MB, with 2GB of system memory and it runs everything on high with AA.
Didnt want to start a new thread so i thought id tag onto this one....my bro just bought a fx6200 so he can play BF2...when he starts the game all the colours a fubar and ingame graphics are all piccaso'ed!....i.e. you cant make anything out its all split and stretched, elongated etc. i tried the card in my comp (similar setup) the card works fine...my card works fine in his computer (mine being FX5700 ultra). so his mobo seems ok cos my card works and his card seems ok cos it works in my system....my mobo is an aging kn400 with an Athlon XP2400, his is the later version KN600 with an XP2500...shop guy says he must flash his bios...any ideas what might be causing this graphical corruption....H e has re-installed XP and BF2 but still no go on the graphics..
Is his case getting too hot for the card? Check that all the fans are still operational.
When my PSU fan went on the blink it nearly took the GFX card with it!!
