Is it me or does BF2 SF demand more from your system. Previously I was using medium settings while playing bf2 and I was getting a fairly good FPS, started playing BF2 SF and Im sure my FPS has dropped and every now and then it struggles when I turned quickly or alot of action occurs at one time. Therefore I turned it down to low settings, but occasionyl I still find some issues, occasionly i get loads of disk activity, possibly the RAM is full and is using a paging file not sure. Im not complaining here Im just curious as to whether or not anyone else feels that the system demands are greater. My system btw is an AMD 2800 XP 64bit, 1Gig RAM, 128mb ATI 9800Pro (needs upgrading really), SATA 160 Gig HDD.

Yeah, I play bf2 with all the settings on high, but I have to turn texture down to medium to get a decent fps in sf.

I was thinking even though they are on the whole smaller maps, they are indeed more complex with alot more world objects. Also there is the added functionality i.e. grappling hooks, FB and zip lines, also I think the player models are in alot more detail, but that does depend mainly on your gfx settings. Btw divided what r your system specs?

Actually I am getting a very bad 5 second stop/disk activity now in SF.  I'll be playing great and then all of a sudden the screen stops and 5+ seconds worth of constant disk reading with no screen update.  I never used to get this in BF2, but I only have 1g of ram and I'm sure my page file is constantly getting hit anyhow. I plan to put another 1g stick in.

As for the settings I left mine at medium as the FPS itself seems the same just the disk loading seems to be a lot more.

Trying to decide if I want to upgrade my vid card as the X700 works fine, not great, but fine.

I could clear up all these issues by getting a new GFX, but unfortunatley I have an agp motherboard, so IM stuck between either buying an expensive agp card or an equally expensive PCI-E motherboard and PCI-E GFX. By the sounds of it more RAM is also required, thanks for the feedback guys.
