VOIP setup software is not recognizing my headset that works for everything else. I have searched and followed insturctions both here and on ea. I have changed my acceleration settings. Headset works and is connected properly, it is just not being recognized for the bf2 voip setup.

did all of that prior to posting...its messed up, cant figure out why it wont work
I'm actually setting mine up as we speak. I think my problem is that I thought there was only one button to talk. Now I just need to figure out which one I need to press to talk to other people in my squad and I think I've got it working...

Its not that i dont know how to get it to work while playing , its that bf2 acts as if there is no mic plugged in
So your saying it works fine in the battle cammo setup?
if so load the sound options and enable mic boost, you might want make sure voip is check also(you never know).

i cant enable mic boost..it wont let me. and it acts like theres no mic with the battle cammo setup also
any ideas?
Does the mic work in windows? is it a usb or analog mic? if analog make sure its plugged directly into the sound card.
It works in windows, is analog and is plugged into the only jack available: directly into the sound card

it is enabled, the only thing i cannot enable is the boost mic gain
I have the exact same issue as Co1d Fusion. I think its becuas ewhen I first set up BF@ I skipped it and now I know this is going to be hard to believe, I think that BF2 has a bug in it (I told you it would be hard to believe). I went thru set up time and time again and no wworky. So I sed fuck it and never use it. I jsut use Vent with my clan and either type n game or use the cmd rose. But if anyone has a fix I will use til then oh well
Yeah if you didn't set it up you wont have VIOP.. Im in the same boat Too lazy to re-install, Im pretty sure if the 1.4 patch is anything EA says its cracked up to be, we all will be re-installing anyway.
