I keep getting hella artifact textures (crazy ass jagged and erroneous textures)  Spiky trees and helos, etc.  Colors, blinking, its hella annoying on BF2, the card GPU is not overheating, and I tried to re-install drivers.  Should I try to re-install BF2, OMG sux, please help!!!!!!!!

Default all yor gfx card settings to application selected, lose any overclocking and make sure your card is getting pently of air flow, also what type of card is it?

Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX OC (factory OC)

I have the plate off and the whole damn case side next to a big ass fan, GPU temp is steady at about 50 degrees celsius +/- 3 degrees.  Only goes up to 54 when BF2 runs, can't be an overheating issue.

THis happend to me, and after shitloads of tech support and reading every article I could find.  It ended up my card was not sitting completely into the mobo.

Remove your card(s) and push them snuggly into the mobo.

try turning your graphics settings down, dynamic lighting and shadows are the 2 most intensive ones so I'd start there. But it definitely sounds like your pushing your graphics card too hard one way or the other.
Yep everything on medium, no AA, no dynamic ANYTHING

lighting on LOW

How do i turn down the OC??

How can I being pushing the 7800 GTX OC, on freaking bf2 on medium???

Download the latest Nvidia Forware Drivers to. if its factory oced try over clocking it with a overclocking utility just a bit higher then the factory overclock.

Ok???  Chipmunk says i'm pushing it too hard, r3v4n says i'm not pushing it hard enough

I've had it for 5 months.  So push it faster than it already is???

With a 7800 you shouldn't have problems with pushing it too hard, it should be able to handel high settings no problem. Try un-installing your video drivers, and installing them again, and make sure that the card is snug in the mobo like someone else said. If none of that works, i'd go for a re-install

Not crazy artifacts like jagged textures, only minor discoloration in Oblivion, need to try some other games

Oy, time to call Nvidia.

Update: Most of my other games are having artifacts, Hitman Blood money, tomb raider legend, miscolored textures, but no jagged ones ala BF2....

Callin Nvidia, will update later with what they say.

Its been super cleaned, Nvidia said i needed more power. so I bought a 500W X-Infinity ATX PSU

Works great, except still getting artifacts, installed new drivers, and re-installing, see if that works.

RMA, whats that.

Edit: OH, return, get another one

UPDATE:

Wow I got some great service from BFG tech, i told them about my problem and after doing some tests on my comp and trying some solutions, but we found that the card was the problem, my 6200 works fine, but the new 7800 GTX OC was artifacting like crazy

So they are sending me a new one.

I highly reccomend BFG tech as their customer support is top notch, patient, knowledgeable, and friendly!!!!
