anyway, i've been thinking of taking up airsoft, im gonna start off with something cheap, and then if i like it, i will buy a more dearer one and go on from there.

Because you say that the XM8 is your best gun im going to guess that all your guns are under $100

if you ever purchase a quality gun ($250+) you will know the difference in quality as soon as you pick it up

I used to paintball. Had a tippman prolite. I had a 20oz tank w/ 200 rd hopper and power feeder. Gun was bad ass (for its time). I played in VA, but got out of it when I moved to FL and went to FSU. Hunting is more fun to me. Plus with all of the underbrush in fl the paintballs would break before they got to the target so it was pointless. I guess one could play at one of those wall park type settings, but I liked the woods...

lol, you obiviously didnt like the wood then... jk. i feel you man, the parks cost money and the hyperball and stuff isnt all that great, but the woods in your local area is, 1. free 2. dangerous cause you could get arrested, thats always fun, lol 3. you can make your own rules lol.

I've played both and I feel that...

Airsoft is more tactical and strategical. It also has realistic looking guns with a more real-war feel.

Paintball is more just spray and pray. It costs more to maintain your gun with paintballs, and you're constantly cleaning everything when you get hit.

My first gun was a pump PMI Paranaha. 3.5oz tank. We played stock w/ tubes that held ten balls. No semis allowed. It was fun.
