Yes, after running away from a red and having no 'nightvision' left, I accidentally plunged headfirst to my death ... But then I seem to do that often and on most maps
Okay, after trying to deploy a zipline it pushed me off, but it made for one heck of a ride as I tried to parachute down into the bay.
I read about ppl having trouble with that here in the forum and thought "haha, how did they manage to do that?", then I went on devil's and did same damn thing, played it lots but that was my first time falling down. ran into an enemy behind the asylum building, started backing and then everyting went dark
Is the devil's perch the huge cliff behind the asylum?
The problem with the nightvision is that it's almost impossible to see whether there's a cliff
I was in the BMP3 with nightvision on, trying to take a flag, and got the locked on sound.
So, I immediately drove forward to evade the rocket....tumbled down like 50 meter....
Something similar happened on another map.

Yup, was sniping 2 or 3 times, and kept crawling forward...til I just slid forward....however, sometimes I land on the concrete embankment or whatever, and thats a great hiding spot.
Is that the Asylum CP with the huge staircases? If so that is the most fun I've had with SF so far. I've been using the grappling hook to get on the roof of the asylum to rifle and nade the guys coming up the stairs.
yep I basejumped in 2 stages and lived... after which i needed to suicide because there was no way to get back up and I did not feel like swimming the rest of the round to swim around the island.
My NVG's ran out of juice and I fell off the cliff by accident.
Try walking along the wall only to find yourself swimming for the next 7 minutes...
Arg that sucked so bad.

I have fallen off the cliff in perch several times, but never died from it. Just kept tapping 9 so that whenever i touched group i redoplyed my chute. Not to say i didn't take damage. My least damage fall i still lost about a 15 percent of my health from the last bit of the trip.
Suicide man, -2 ain't THAT bad.Sgt.Gh0st wrote:

Yeah, that's where the little suicide button comes in handy on the kit screen...Sgt.Gh0st wrote:

That happened to me, I was on the left side of the main gate on the hill, was being shot at, backed up to take cover behind the large rocks and plumeted to the water below... it was kinda funny, deployed the parachute 3 times before actually hitting the water. I started to swim for the back of the base and pulled up the map. I noticed how far I really was from anyting solid. *bang* suicide.
I just dont have the guts to touch that button.. EVER. You brave men you.XBoughtonX wrote:

I was driving a civilian car or something, with NV on and due to the blackness I couldn't really tell what was ahead of me. Needless to say there was "nothing" ahead of me.
Could be what they named the map after.

Every time I've played on that map so far, which isn't much...but still its discouraging. After that happens I usually pray that no one saw me do that and then crawl back to Ghost Town.

I've taken the plunge twice in back of the Asylum ON PURPOSE to get the dock at the bottom.
