What's wrong?
His icons, they are screwed up in colour. I would say it was a gfx card problem but seen as the recycle bin is OK I don't know.
Monitor problem maybe?
Have you done a virus scan lately?
When all else fails on a Windows system....I recomend two things
1) CTRL+ALT+DEL multiple times in a row
2) kick the damned computer

Looks like you are running at 256 color. have you recently played an older game? If so what was it?

ex: cluefinders
I checked my settings but my only settings are 16 bit and 32 bit.
If you have a desktop shortcut to that game...Right click on that ICON and go to PROPERTIES and then COMPATIBILITY..check to see if your settings are incorrect!
You're icons are inverse in color... I've never heard of that happening
Right click the desktop and select "Refresh" a few times. That might fix it
If that doesn't do it all I can think of is try refreshing the theme, but that's a long shot.
Go to display properties and then appearance. Select something different for all 3 drop down menus, click apply and exit.
Repeat the process, but change all the settings back to what they originally were.

everything says that 256 is off
hell, i even deleted shortcut to my doc on desktop and then made a new one. I came back today and it was "infected"
if you look, the icons are fucked up too, i mean, for my computer the icon is two halves of a windows media player icon

Yeah. The sights, the smells, the bad outsourced tech support...TheDoctor wrote:

That's bizarre. I've seen something similar that was caused by problems in the user profile itself. Everything was fine with every other user on that PC (10-20 accounts on a PC at work).
Try making a new account and see what it looks like. If it is fine there, then you've at least narrowed it down to something in a single user profile being wonky. You can always delete the new account name afterward, so it's a 3 minute thing to try.
If it's the profile that is the problem, you can always transfer files and such over to a new profile. If it comes to pass and you don't know how to do this, post back here and you'll likely get all the help you need.
Good luck!
