My buddy is having a problem and we are not sure how to solve it or if it can be solved...

He has been trying to get his basic helicopter badge but no matter what he seems to try he can 't get it. He has spent an entire map cycle flying blackhawk around picking up and dropping off people, flown the attack choppers, nothing is getting it for him. I don't remember exactly when or what I did to get mine but I know it was not that hard. It is not like he gets it but it does not record it, he never gets at all and we are stump as to what to do about it.

Not sure what you are asking when you say "stats" & yes we only play on ranked servers when we play.

Yes most times he tries the maps are lasting as long as 1/2 hour or more

We only play on ranked servers, we have our filters setup to only list the ones ranked.

We have tried it on TomClanceyGameServers.com server, 420 Jedis, Hellsfury, NAEA, OBC groundpounders, 2crew and a host of others, I think that somehow his profile is bugged but no way to tell for sure.

That's alive!
So the time you crash and wait at the helipad doesn't count and so it takes a little while sometimes.
Time requirements are a bit buggy sometimes,especially the 34 minutes IAR.

I will make note of those types of things and see if that is it. Now if I understand correctly it is 15mins IAR but this does not have to be consecutively, yes? Meaning if he dies a few times but still manages a total of 15mins IAR of actual in air flying time he should get it. If so then I am pretty sure that he has met this requirement a few times already.

See, I thought it seemed wrong to me too, anyone know if contacting EA could get the problem solved? He quaifies for his next rank once he has the time in but the one after that he will be stuck because the helo badge is required to get it.

Yep, this is definitely right. Like the kill requirement for Basic Aviator don't have to be in one go in a single jet. Sad to say both times I got it it's taken the life of more than one fighter

This looks like it's one of those odd stats glitches sorry to say. Don't know if it's possible to get around it but you could try contacting EA.

I wouldn't worry too much about this, unless he's determined to be a sargeant major for some reason; I'm on my way to being a master gunnery sergeant myself and I actually kinda like the idea since you don't see too many of them.

I had this problem with numerous badges/medals. EA had me delete my local profile. Strangely it worked. Sometimes servers glitch, but for that one it shouldnt be too hard to find on to go through. I'd suggest the profile thing :

c:\documents and settings\ blah blah blah..... \ my documents\battlefield 2\profiles

Delete the 0001 etc folders in there. Dont delete default. Be prepared to recreate any custom settings you did for sound, video, buttons..
