Master (Gunnery) Sergeant?

I've got the 20k+ score + all the required badges. The last one I was missing was the basic transport, which I now have, but I haven't been promoted. BF2S says I don't have it(?), but I can see that I have in the in-game HQ.

Am I the only one having this problem?

The only problem that you have is that Master Gunnery Sergeant is 50,000pts......you got Master Sgt at 20,000.

hmm i have a same problem i am master sergant. and have al basic badges and have 32k but i havent been promoted to first sergant.?

I dont think you can go from Master Sergeant to First Sergeant if you get the required badges after reaching the 20000 point mark.

Armin, it's because you haven't got your knife badge.

If you had had it, you would be promoted to First Seargeant....

My bad, I ment the Sergeant Major, the one at 20k where you need all the badges

ok listen up: if you DO NOT have the required badges for First Sergeant (1SG) BEFORE getting the points for it, you WILL NOT be promoted to 1SG. You will be promoted to Master Sergeant instead. They are both E-8 (in the Army anyway). Then the next rank you get at 50,000. If you have the required badges then you will be promoted to Sergeant Major (SGM). If you don't have those required badges before 50,000, then you will be promoted to Master Gunnery Sergeant. END OF TOPIC.

I spent quite a bit of time ruining my already poor K to get the necessary badges...and then I managed to get them when I wasn't paying attention to 'em.

I got my 1SG last night. :-) Sorry you didn't have the knife badge...that sucks...

Just make sure you have everything before you hit the 50k mark. Will save you more grief later on.
