Search reveals nothing helpful about this, as far as I can see. It would seem that my beloved TV guide missile is now...gimped, to put it politely. Not only is the screen warbling and rippling like it's on acid, but the missile responds to guide-clicks as if I have 500ms lag.

Just wondering if anyone can quantify exactly how EA has broken the TV guide? I know the AA is already broken, but the TV guide is a whole other deal. Of course, there's nothing in the changelog, but there's nothing in the changelog about a lot of things. I'd like to know if there's any way to compensate. Playing in the Cobra/Atakhelo is my favourite part of the game.
With the nonsensical infantry battles that I get into (most of them leaving me wondering how everyone else can use certian weapons [like the g3 and pkm and dao] like scalpels, and I'm lucky to get a kill with them in a whole round -_-), choppering is one of the few ways I can really get an edge on people and do some damage. The playing field is very much levelled in them, and if they've gimped it too...? I particularly feel bad for the Chinese, if they really have gimped the TV guide; the chaingun doesn't do much damage, and now neither does the TV?

I think the response problem is due to the wobbling TV screen as you have to compensate it.

its heat haze. ment to make it seem more real. you prob find it hareder to use because youe not used to it

I used the TV a lot last night, and yea its heat haze, but the flight dynamics are still the same.

I find it actually easier to use and a lot smoother. I only have trouble with the Havoc as it is randomly allowing a second click.

Offtopic: Can it be that i hit another HElo with TV Guided but it isnt destroyed?

I din't miss it! I saw the rocket crashing into it, I heard the sound exploding it, even my pilot said i hit him! But he survived and wasn't even smoking... this happend to me 5 times with the same heli... veeery suspicious ^^

On a kind of related note, I have a problem with a certain helicopter's tv missile on a certain map.

On sharqi, whenever I'm gunning the attack chopper on mec, I can't guide the missiles. I can fire them, but after they're shot I can not move them through the air. This is the only chopper that does it. The usmc one on sharqi works fine, and the other choppers on other maps work fine too. Only the mec one on sharqi. Anyone else have this problem?

Well, I was having the problem with the TV guide on the MEC chopper on Clean Sweep map. Hmm. I'll try using it a little more; mostly I wanted to get a sense of how everyone else was making out with the missiles. From that video, it looks like the chinese and cobras are more responsive at least. That's some small mercy.

The Mec attack chopper's TV guided missile will not target the sky. If you click on a building, or mountain, or ocean, or ground, or ANYTHING else on the map it will realign onto the new target, otherwise it will just go straight.

That explains a lot. I always try and LEAD targets when I use the TV guide. Probably why it's being so obstinate.

Is that only on sharqi? It seems on other maps the mec chopper targets everything.
