How is it that the web site actually made by the game designers is so sucky? I mean, dont even get me started on the IGN site (MBT = 6 rockets and 2 main cannons. riiiiight....). There is no place but *this place* to go for good BF2 info. Alls im trying to do is find out what all the new vehicles, weapons, et al are about.

Even for the strategy guides you can find online....horrible. the best strategy guides i have ever found are all user made. All I would like is a good guide with strategy, not a guide with "Press the mouse button to fire your weapon. when your falling, press 9 to lauch your parachute".

Help me BF2S.com, your my only hope.

To be honest with you I don't know why you'd need a strategy guide for this game.  I did check out a guide on AA hoping I just sucked at it but it only told me what I already knew.  That the missles are dumber than a box of rocks.  The best thing you can do is just practice and find out what works and what doesn't.  There are so many different dynamics in this game you can't just have one strategy.  If you want to get a good score then here's how you can start...

1.  Don't stand around waiting for a vehicle.
2.  Go to a reasonably capturable CP.  Don't run for the hotel in Karkand with the other lemmings.  They are pissing tickets away.
3.  Kill all of any enemies there.
4.  Capture the CP.
5.  If the CP your trying to capture is overwhelmed with enemies wait for some backup or you're pissing away tickets.
6.  If a CP is overwhelemed with enemies don't respawn there or you're pissing away tickets.
7.  Find out what tasks you're good at do those.  Try to be somewhat flexible as well.  Don't be one of those people that has to have this vehicle or has to have that vehicle.
8.  Practice sometimes on a non-ranked server if you don't want your stats to suffer.
9.  Also use your class for others as well.  It can really help.  For example if you and a teammate are both engineers you can fight along side each other and repair each other just by being in proximity to one another.  You don't even have to get out of the armor.  So you stay healed all the time and get repair points too.  If you're a medic drop med packs around high traffic friendly areas, etc.

Sounds like more of a complaint than a praise, but I guess its both. (lol)

Praise: Yah this forum (and others) are a great resource for many topics/issues.

Complaint: I know what you mean about information availability. The manual doesnt cover everything, the EA site often includes vague information and we are left to research the rest. My biggest gripe is about patches. They never directly say if the patches are inclusive or accumulative. Meaning if you just got the game do you have to do all the patches, or just the latest one. (The worst at this was Americas Army - I quit after the 6th "patch" and vague instructions)
