It's not really illegal but it's not really legal in the sense of EA/DICE Agreement as to when you play it, you do abide by their rules which one of them states NOT to provide economical benefit from your actions on it, however you may do it, particularly in ways like this. EDIT: I think it's BS for someone to buy an account they didn't work to earn. Why not make the BF2 community aware of it, as I am sure there are others that share my opinion.
