As much as I hate pilots, that picture just made me laugh

If realism is what we're aiming for here, then how about giving the ground pounders some laser light pens that we can flash into the pilots eyes.  Would be similar to a FB

normally im loathe to call names, BUT,

you sir, are an idiot. to always punish anybody, regardless, is stupid. if he lobs a missle and it accidently locks your heli, why punish? because you are an arrogant prick? I hate people that punish like idiots. if its my fault, no matter if im flying, or if im driving, or if im running, punish, go ahead. i make mistakes sometimes. sometimes i fire a tank shell into a friendly jeep on accident. but if you just punish without thinking, your an idiot. and i hate people like that, and so does everybody else here thats not an idiot.

and why hate pilots? because you get beaten down by aircraft often? live with it, and learn to combat them instead of being stupid about it.

yeah but they blown up the jeep 6 times.. normally one or 2 c-4 charges would be enough how did it just blow into fancy lil pieces... ahh wait.. it doesnt destroy the jeep right when ff is off sry.. bit braindammaged thou tonight O.o.... was playing nightfligh in the cargo plane and got flashed 8 times after and after O.o lol

I don't punish automatically, I look up to make sure it's a pilot first

I have my reasons for disliking that vehicle.  I feel it's overpowered and contributes to anti-teamwork.  In that way I feel it's against the nature of the game.  Maybe I'm wrong and so be it, but I'm entitled to irrationally despise something just the same as you are.

I also love the word "punish" is the sin of all sins to people.  Is -4 really the end of the world like that?  I know stats mean a lot to people, so I'm considerate enough that if I walk into a mine or run in the middle of the road in front of somebody, I hit forgive and move on.

Here's my philosophy: By TKing me, accident or not, I now have to stare at the sky for 15 seconds, pick another spawn point, start running back to whereever I was going with probably a greater chance of encountering resistance trying to get there.  A -4 for that is a fair trade.  Move on.  Get over it.  If you do care about the almighty 4 points that much then maybe you will be more careful next time.

And to answer your final question, No, generally I'm not owned by aircraft.  Probably somewhere in the range of 50 is the total deaths by air that I have.  I consider it a separate game that sometimes intrudes upon my game.

And finally, I'm far from an idiot, but I do enjoy playing devil's advocate and a good argument once in a while

There certainly are a number of times where people automatically punish for something that, if they took 2 seconds to think about what just happened, they just MIGHT realize it was either their fault, or, *gasp* a true accident.  I was pilot in an attack chopper, ended up being shot down by a jet. The debris landed on a teammate and killed him. He punished. Go figure...

well its not uncommon for me to gun down infantry, you see the dots on the uav, and the minimap has good graphics, like shadows and light/dark spots easily identifiable by a good gamer so he knows within several feet of where to shoot, and if you get it just right you can gun down infantry pretty good cuz the plane rounds explode on contact with the ground... anyways, its pretty easy to shoot people off the ground if you just spray fire in the area, its a freakin lot of bullets shooting out of a cannon like the ones on jets....

but yeah, i do experience people fly at me, or pull up into me at the runway, and even reverse situations where i accidently fly into someone else.....but even if i tk just one single time because EA makes bad missile tracking systems or someone leaves their vehicle and the engine is hot, making my ground radar pick it up as a non-friendly target and i bomb it....people will usually punish, and for the post i saw before (if i remember it right - too lazy to quote ) "the pilots tk and fly off spamming sorry messages" - how do you expect someone to type out a lengthy formal apology in midflight? its kinda hard to do you know.

overall there seems to be a lot of disrespect to those who can fly from those who cant fly...
