Right it all started with this new patch, ever time i logo out r quit and go back on the game i have to recover my user nam plz say i am not the only 1 because it is f****** pissing me off

another hint would be to erase all ur profiles, and create new ones. u will probably have to configure ur settings from the standards, including player controls. if there's a broken file in ur local profiles, this should fix it. profiles are located \Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles .
