Been a couple of months since we had a new Omega driver release.  The new release was just posted yesterday and are based on the latest Calatyst 6.7 driver.

Do you notice a huge difference in performance for BF2?  I have always downloaded the proper drivers from the company's site, but ifthe performance boost is there I am definently downloading it.

No, you will not see huge performance boost from any third party driver.

The main advantage to Omega drivers (Omega is a beta tester for the catalyst driver team) is that he includes ATT (ati tray tools) which means that you no longer have to use the bloated performance hog known as CCC or catalyst control center which are installed by the official ATI driver.  You also no longer need the .net framework, and you get some nifty overclocking tools as well.

I just got them installed and going to hit the battlefield now.....

i haven't downloaded the new ones (thanks for the post, i wouldn't've checked) but ATT is way better than CCC, and it seems like i get better performance out of the omega drivers.  maybe it's in my head, but they seem to work a lot better for me.

I've been using omega's tweaked drivers for years.  I feel "dirty" when installing the official versions.

Should I install these drivers for my Nvidia XFX 7900GT?

No.  They are ATI drivers.
