Patch 1.4 and bf2142

With the release of betA2142 and the patch 1.4 i think that 2142 will take over the patch and that patch will never come out, i think these are the last days of bf2 and it will soon be like 1942.

I don't think so buddy. Just because the people on here are liking 2142, doesn't mean everyone else in the world does. I'm one of them. BF2 is the original, and people will realise that after 2142 flops like Euro Forces...

tbh theres always gonna be the people who continue to play bf2 because they dont want to move on to another game and they are probably still gonna complain about bf2

Well I am going to get BF2142 but I will still play BF2, why? Because they are difernt games (and good ones too) and I do not rescrict myself to only playing one (1) game.

BF2142 BetA is a marketing tool, Ea has said goodbye to bf2 alltogether, now are working hard on 2142, how wold the manage to create a patch for an old game andcreate a new game, What is priority?

well here is my two cents about battlefield 2142 and Battlefield 2

Battlefield 2 is pretty much the greatest Online FPS there is, problem is its soo big as a game that there are just too many bugs, glitches, and exploits. Its just that simple. the infantry/ vehicle mechanics need some work still. EA and DICE are right on the money in terms of concepts, but the programming is totally awful. Look at how many patches that were released and especially that 1.3 patch disaster. Servers and player computers crashing all over the place, the emergence of new and devious hacks, servers being too laggy regardless if you have an awsome internet connection and most importantly of all, immature players who have no respect for anyone and do not know what teamwork is all about.

Now to 2142: i read all the articles concerning this new game and seen some of the videos. personally i think its an awsome presentation of graphics, gameplay, and mechanics. My only concern is that if EA/DICE had a hard time with bugs and glitches and finally reducing the haxs outlets, then what makes you think that 2142 will not have the same amount of problems if not more problems that Battlefield 2. I have been in the gaming business for a long time and this is a classic example of a top notch game with an alarming amount of problems.

2142 looks good so far, but if i were you, i would not put all you eggs in one basket, if you know what i mean.

They stop patching after 2 years dont they once they release 2142 BF2 will probably stay as it is and they will concentrate on 2142 and making that work seen as it probably wont :p

I still play BF'42. There are still quite a few perma-full servers, even in this corner of the world. After 2142 coms out, shit yeah I'll play it, but that dosn't mean I'll abandon BF2.
