I'm ordering a new computer and i can get either a 3.2 pentium 4 processor, or a pentium D 820 with dual core tecnology thats 2.8 ghz. Which is better and how?

If anyone has any knowledge on this supject it would be much appriciated cause i have no idea.

The p4. Dual Cores are better for multitasking.

as far as your question goes: if it is simply for gaming, get the standard P4. IMHO, games as they are now don't make good use of dual core processors.

BF2 uses only one thread so it will not use the other processor. You will be better off with the 3.2 that has more horsepower.
