I have the following specs and was wondering where the bottleneck in my rig would be (if there is 1)......

CPU - AMD 3500+
Motherboard - K8 SLi
RAM - 4x256mb DDR400 (2 GB)
Video Cards - 2x7600GT SLi
HDD - 40GB Seagate 7200RPM  4?MB cache
        200GB Samsung 7200RPM 8MB cache

I was thinking it might be the processor (but I am not real sure)

Yea^^ so you might want to do 2 things, Go get a new proccesor and get 2 1GB sticks of RAM.

Well, offhand, I'd say if you experience a bottleneck situation, you may have some issues with harddrives or possibly the graphics cards. the 7600 GT cards are not that new anymore.

For gaming purposes (at least BF2) your CPU is just fine. You WILL get better FPS with a single 7900 GTX and depending on the type of harddrives you have and the layout of your directories, OS etc. you may get better loading times with some newer SATA2 drives. But overall, you should get pretty decent loading times and good FPS.

SATA drives help to some extent with loading ... whats the memory frequency?

and the 4x memory (not bad but 2x memory is better)
