All of my awards surprise me as I don't "go" for them. I just take them as they come.

Crew Service, Quite a few of my basics, Infantry Officer, Good Conduct Medal.... Far East and Middle Eastern. And a few of my SF ones.
Valorous Unit ribbon. Just was running arround and shooting, when I got it.
just play the game and when i get something kewl....rarely go for medals just earn them on normal play
Happened all the time in the "nooby days". Now it only happens when I get the private bug.
My good conduct medal...didn't realize what you had to do to get it.
A couple days ago I got my VET First aid badge after I killed a guy. I was really suprised because I thought I would never get 10 heal points in one round.

arial service and crew. both with a good helo/bomber pilot when i first started playing
Just yesterday I picked up my third good conduct medal. I was gunning in the chopper and had just gotten to 21 kills when the drums started going off. Things that you get more then once are easy to forget that you're about to get another one.
I get the Medal of Valor at the beginning of each round.

i got my expert knife badge when i least expected it
I pretty much knew whenever I was going to get one when I visited this site. However, I've surely NOT gotten awards when I was expecting them.

Most of my awards surprise me as I don't "go" for them. I just take them as they come.
I had about 5-10 awards by surprise. the only two I van point out at the tip of my tongue, is the ex smoke/flash badge - got it the first time I logged on after 1.3. and then last night. I just for filled the 15 hours demand for support, and I was going for the vet badge - I'd forgot all about the vet resupply badge, and suddenly out of the blue, the drums start celebrating me.. didn't get the vet support though.
I got my Vet first aid ribbon today without warning.
i was flying around in a F-35 on wake, bombing the crap out of airfield. While on final approach to the carrier to re-arm the drums sounded and the "vetran spec-ops" badge came up, i got distracted and crashed into the Essex gun.
i got most of my awards not trying, because the first half of my BF2 career i didn know about bf2s so i didn know the requirements..so they just popped up everynow and then and i was like WOOT! not knowing wtf i did to get it
When I first started playing I never even really new about the badges and ribbons. I got my Airborne ribbon first and it kind of startled me at first then i was just thinking cool so much so that I didnt notice that tank right in front of me.
Basic Ground Defense - Just got it as we won on Sharqi @ TV Station lol.
