English doesn't dominate the world. If you want to go by sheer number of people speaking one language I am going to point you at China (pop 1,306,313,812). That is almost double the number of English speakers on the planet. English is split between 5 countries or so, 295,734,134 live in the US, 60,441,457 live in the UK, 20,090,437 live in Australia, 30,007,094 in Canada, and 4,035,461 in New Zealand. Hindi by contrast is spoken in only one country and totals 1,095,351,995 people. (or less, it was hard to find the exact number of Hindi speakers in India, so i gave the total population, which I figure doesn't hurt this discussion so much when you factor in people in other countries who don't speak the mother tongue)

Germany by contrast has it's own language, has a decent GNP and a population of 82,431,390, that means the target demographic for games merchandise is there.

Sorry to tell you this, Germans have the 2nd largest group of users on bf2s because the quality of living in India and China has not yet reached a point where common people can spend their money frivolously on games. ("Mom, can you give me my college fund so I can go out and get bf2142?")
Also I would like to just impress upon you that there is no secret German Nazi plot to train monkeys in bf2 and later give them robotic power suits to take over the world. (or whatever you were inferring by "Is it because they like to command?") German speaking people are just about as diverse as any other culture in the world, and making uneducated general assumptions about a group of people based on solely on race is what we in countries that have abolished slavery call "racism".

I'd also like to note that BF2s lies; my profile says I am from the US, but actually I live in Asia and have never played one game of BF2 from The States. My best friend who lives down the street from me according to BF2s, lives in Azerbaijan... Something smells less than fresh in Denmark.

anyone else have problems where bf2s doesn't show your location properly?
