oh i should add that AA is off. because that would just kick any computers ass.... sorry for confusion
??? I am running bf2 at 4x AA with most settings that dont affect gameplay on high I get an average of 100fps @ 1280x1024 w/ a second monitor running in a full 64 man server. I can run fear combat with every thing set to maximum with no stutters, havent ran fraps using it yet.
Get a PCI-E 7900GT, with decent aftermarket cooling you can volt mod it and make the stock GTX look silly.
I am running:
AMD Athlon64 3700+ ( o/c'ed to 2.6ghz @ 1.5v )
2 Gigs RAM ( half kingston hyperx half patriot ) 2-3-3-5 timings at 1.7v
7900GT watercooled and o/c'ed to 665 core / 1800 memory @ 1.45v
100 GB Maxtor, 200GB Maxtor
550W dynex PSU
2 CDRW's
Gigabyte 3d Rocket HSF
As we speak under a light load my temps are 30c CPU / 44c GPU The thermaltake tidewater vga cooler dropped not only the normal operating temps of my graphics card from 55c to 44c but it also dropped my CPU temps from 33c to 30c because it pushes the heat straight out instead of up into my HSF. I stuck with aircooling my cpu because it does awesome even under a decent overclock and well over voltage. I will deff be using patriot RAM on my next build, lifetime warranty and is built to operate at tighter timings than even the kingston hyperx. My only regret is that I did not buy a dual core, I dont need it now but the new generation of games being devoloped as you read this will utilize them.
