I just visited an old friend of mine who uses ONLY the keyboard to fly. I'm wondering if anyone else does that and who does what.

edit- he sucks at it pretty bad.

I use joystick for jet and keyboard and mouse for chopper. I started with no joystick so I got pretty good with mouse and keyboard for chopper, but ignored jet almost completely.

I use keyboard and mouse, i suck in a jet, but i can decently fly a chopper.
my brother just uses the keyboard, but i dont know how good he is. he also puts the craft in 3rd person camera mode, who does that?

i WOULD use a joystick, its broken, i manage without.

ps: on a logitech MX518 (and alot of others) you can configure your mouse to do everything you need for flying. even spotting. (if i remember correct that the dpi change buttons are changeable

I think that might count as keyboard. Unless you're not talking about the little circular keypad centering around WASD.

I don't know if they are. I think they are. I only use them to change sensitivity.

I play games more then 12 years and always use m/k.For me nothing better works then m/k with flying jets or helicopters.One time I tried joystick and was horrible it not work for me.

i use keyboard and mouse for helo but when it comes to doin rolls from avoiding the other helo's tv's missiles i use the left arrow key cuz its full response compared to rolling and repicking up my mouse.
