You can´t kill people neither with the zipline nor with the grappling hook. Eve a headshot won´t harm your "victim". Tried it today on a teammate who was idle.
Howabout sliding down the zipline and kicking someone in the face?
nope. the only way I know of is to pick up either zip line or grappling hook while you opponent is on it. this will make him fall. Depending on the height, to his death. At least that is the word from EA.
