When i get killed with a knife, do i get a death under Knife stats? Or I get a death when i die holding the knife?

When holding the knife.
You could get knifed a thousand times, but only die once when using a knife, and you'll only have 1 knife death.
K/D for everything is when using that gun/vehicle/equip, not what you were killed by.
